Overview
Galbard's Pass is named in the public record as the only known way through the Faceless Mountains into Calarph. Chronicles remember it as a high snow trail between blank peaks — a narrow gate between the southern lands and Acar's northern kingdom.
Found on the Great Journey
Public accounts credit King Acar with finding the Pass during the Great Journey north from Candra's Green-Downs. That discovery opened Calarph beyond the mountains. The Pass takes its name in the western lore that still honors Galbard's line.
Among the Faceless
The Faceless Mountains are hard country — wind, ice, and stone that shows few landmarks. Travelers describe Galbard's Pass as a winding snow path with a glimpse of greener northern valleys beyond. Moonledge Peak and the Wall's northern footing stand in the same range.
Later Years
Maps of Etharath keep the Pass as the mountain road to Calarph and the Upland Plains. Further records of the Pass in later years remain sealed.
