Overview
The Embradei are the surviving sons of rulers defeated by Broeden. Rather than granting them death, Broeden condemned them to an undying existence within his court. Princes who once expected to inherit kingdoms instead became eternal servants, attendants, scribes, heralds, and living symbols of Broeden's triumph.
Appearance
Embradei are gaunt, skeletal figures whose bodies appear drained by centuries of unnatural existence. Their eyes often possess a hollow, distant quality, while crown-like flames or spiritual manifestations rise from their skulls. They retain traces of noble bearing despite their ruinous condition.
The Stolen Inheritance
Unlike the Embracarra, who remember lives already lived, the Embradei embody futures that never happened. Each was denied a throne, a family legacy, and a kingdom. They retain memories of what should have been, yet are forced to witness generation after generation pass without them.
Service to Broeden
Broeden employs the Embradei as personal attendants, messengers, record keepers, and ceremonial servants. Their continued presence serves as a warning to every captive and visitor: dynasties do not end with defeat. They belong to Broeden forever.
