Overview
The Camonra are counted among the peoples of Erathe, not among its beasts. They keep families, captains, clans, and names. Public records of the west often reduce them to a war-host. The Archivists record them as a people first.
Etymology
Camonra translates to Warriors of Light in ancient Rionese. That is the public meaning of the word. How it came to be spoken of this people, and by whom, remains sealed.
Culture
Camonra society is clan-oriented. Loyalty, courage, and earned respect carry more weight than birth. They raise children, keep settlements, and choose captains by merit. Their story is larger than any single campaign.
Legacy
The Camonra remain one of the most argued-over peoples in the histories of Erathe. To some they were monsters. The public archive does not settle that quarrel. It records that they are a people, and that a Camon is not less a person for his stature.
