Overview
A Camon is one of the Camonra. They are not a nameless host. They keep families, captains, and names. Public records of the west often mistake size for monstrosity. The Archivists do not.
Appearance
Camon commonly stand well over seven feet tall and possess immense strength. Distinctive features include broad shoulders, heavy forearms, pointed ears, pronounced brow ridges, flattened noses, and powerful jaw lines. Despite their intimidating appearance, Camon display the full range of intelligence and emotional complexity expected of a civilized people.
Etymology
Camon are the individuals. Collectively they are called Camonra, which translates to Warriors of Light in ancient Rionese. That is the public meaning of the name. How the word came to be applied, and by whom, remains sealed.
Society
Camon society is clan-oriented and strongly influenced by loyalty, courage, and earned respect. Communities value family, child rearing, shared responsibility, and leadership through merit.
Psychology
The greatest misunderstanding held by humanity is that the Camon are monsters. Camon possess loyalty, ambition, grief, love, hope, and the desire to leave a better future for their children.
