Overview
The Hall of the Seven Stewards is named in the public record as the governing seat of the Western Kingdom — the gem of the First Quarter, where representatives of the Seven gather to rule the provinces once held by the original Seven Warriors.
From War Room to Hall
Chronicles teach that the Seven Warriors who conceived the Wall were each given a province of the First Quarter. Their war room became the Hall of the Seven Stewards. The Stewards are not the original seven, but descendants' representatives — sons' sons who claim the legacy of those hard men.
Concentric Rectangles
Public accounts of the architecture are clear: the Hall rises in concentric rectangles around an inner keep, with seven towers spearing the sky — one at each corner of the outer walls, one on the east and west inner walls, and one crowning the central keep. Beautiful in design yet built for war, it stands as the stone memory of the conquest that made the Western Kingdom.
Among the Provinces
Maps of Etharath place the Hall within the Western Kingdom west of the Wall, among Candra, Highwood, and the Upland Plains. Travelers and Stewards alike name it the capital of Steward rule. Further records of the Hall in later years remain sealed.
