War-host • Extreme Threat

A war-host of the later age, named in scorn by their rivals and feared across the west.

Inferior General

Classification

Common Name: Inferior

Threat Level: Extreme

Known for: Great stature, red eyes, organized war

Nomenclature

The name Inferior is not a term of endearment. Public records of the west use it as an insult. Those so named reject it. The Archivists note that the quarrel over the word is older than any single campaign, and that the full account of who coined it, and why, remains sealed.

Overview

Inferiors are counted among the most feared war-hosts in Erathe. They fight in ranks, keep cities, and carry their dead as trophies. Settler-talk on the western roads treats a sighting of red eyes on a ridgeline as a reason to run. What they were before they were called Inferiors is not released for public circulation.

Appearance

Inferiors possess immense muscular frames, enlarged skeletal structures, horn-like cranial growths, reinforced jaws, prominent tusks, and predatory dentition. Their skin often exhibits reptilian textures and heavy scarring. Red eyes are common among mature specimens. Many decorate themselves with trophies taken from battle, including bones, skulls, armor fragments, and weapons from fallen enemies.

No two senior Inferiors appear exactly alike.

Society and Culture

Unlike simple beasts, Inferiors possess a developed culture. They maintain military hierarchies, family units, cities, and rites of war. Status is earned through battlefield achievement and conquest.

Military Doctrine

Inferior armies combine overwhelming infantry assaults, siege engines, disciplined formations, war beasts, and psychological intimidation. They routinely employ trebuchets, ballistae, siege towers, and cavalry mounts.

They willingly endure casualties that would break most armies if victory remains achievable.

Settler Lore

When the red eyes come over the hill, pray you've already started running.

Threat Assessment

Danger Level: Extreme

Inferiors combine intelligence, military discipline, and overwhelming physical strength. Any sighting of organized Inferior forces should be considered a strategic emergency. The origin of the host, and the name they claim for themselves, remain sealed.
